Are you someone who loves to shop but has a hard time visualizing an entire outfit so you end up with wardrobe pieces that don’t go with anything in your closet? This is a huge waste of money and space. It’s time to work on your skills and become your own fashion stylist!
If you were to hire a stylist, she would help you purchase versatile pieces that go with many items you already own. Plus, she would help you understand what items you could purchase in the future that would also work to create new looks. It helps when you can visually see the pieces together. Using what you have learned on A Mom in Red High Heels about your style personality and body type, practice creating outfits on thredUP to help you create new wardrobe inspiration! The more you practice, the easier it will be to create new looks when you are getting dressed in the morning or shopping for new items at the store.
First, log-in or set up a free account on thredUP.
Click the “Outfit” tool featured on any shopping page.
This will start an outfit on the left sidebar.
Select each piece until you have a complete look. You can select a top and bottom or a dress plus shoes and an accessory like a handbag, scarf or coat.
Click to save the outfit. It has been added to your “closet”. To find your closet, go to My Account > My Closet > Outfits.
Be sure to Pin your outfits to Pinterest to inspire others! I share all of mine in hopes to inspire you and others to get creative with what you already own and share with you the awesome buys you can get on thredUP.com!

It’s fun to create outfits, even if you don’t intend to purchase any items. It will get your creativity flowing and help you improve your outfit building skills!
