It’s time to get serious, moms. Serious about back-to-school shopping! Your child wants the hottest trends and you want the hottest price. You both get what you want at T.J. Maxx and Marshalls!

My daughter is going back into school this fall after being home schooled for 3 years. She’ll be in 4th grade. This is a really important year for her and feeling confident as she walks into the classroom for the first time is going to be necessary! Part of feeling her most confident comes from loving what she is wearing (we can totally relate to that, right??). To get the most of our dollar, we headed to Marshalls were we can buy designer brands for less.

These are the winning looks we walked away with:

Coral sweater top and belt from Marshalls.

Red capri pants and striped blue tank from Marshalls

Bulldog print top and fringe boots from Marshalls.  I am in love with these designer brand boots…I totally want a pair for myself.  Too bad I outgrew girl sizes years ago!

We successfully stocked up on items that she’ll need to compliment her existing wardrobe.  While we adored the tank tops she tried on, we opted for tops that she’ll be able to wear beyond the hottest months of the school semester.

While you shop, do something extra special to help children in need:

Save the Children Back to School Quilt

For more than 29 years, T.J.Maxx has been working with Save the Children U.S. Programs to make a lasting, positive change in the lives of children. Starting this August and continuing throughout the back-to-school season, there will be three ways for shoppers to give back:

1. Purchasing a quilt ($49.99) featuring bright, colorful designs with 25% going
back to the foundation
2. Buying a reusable STC bag at the register to tout around town
3. Giving a dollar at the register – each effort goes a long way!

  1. my girls are all one of a kind- one loved the green outfit she had and said tell her she can layer with a jacket and belt – the other one wants the red shoe outfit – especially the top to put over a summer dress

  2. I have twin girls and while their styles are very complimentary of each other…they are both very unique. One tends to be a bit more girly and loves pinks, puffs and bling. The other has a more dramatic flair and has no problem mixing colors and patterns. I love that they are identical and yet, completely unique!

My daughter’s style is punk/skateboarder look sometimes, but she will be wearing a school uniform to school but she always add some style to her uniform by wearing DC shoes and some funky jewelry

  6. My daughter is a full on fashionista! She dresses herself in the morning in elaborate outfits complete with matching accessories, hair things, jewelry and everything. This morning she came downstairs wearing leopard print skinny jeans, a light pink chiffon Hello Kitty blouse and a pink bow headband complete with silver metallic sandals. So proud of her sense of style and she’s only 6 years old! <3

I’d like to enter this for my great niece and two great nephews who were abandoned by their parents are being raised by their grand parents. The girl is 14, very intellectual, and likes to look stylish, but modest. Both boys are pure BOY! Jeans are almost daily attire for both of them. Thank you for your consideration.
