This year will be the first time ever that both our kids will be in school for a full day, at the same time! We’ve been homeschooling one or both for 4 years and as they enter 5th and 8th grade, we are all ready for the exciting year ahead! Both will be attending the same school. It is a small school and a close community. After a year of experiencing it with our daughter, we have fallen in love with the staff and families involved.

I have to say, I am super proud of my son who made the decision to head back to school! We put no pressure on him to return, the choice was entirely his own. We were willing to follow his lead and provide what he needed. He was bullied in school previously and it really did terrible things to his confidence. With years of homeschool and involvement in boy scout, church and soccer, he has grown and changed in such a positive way. For him to feel ready to go back into the classroom (in junior high!) is huge. We are so proud of him and pray the year is a wonderful experience for him.

So, last night was back-to-school night. Despite the 100 degree weather, I went in jeans. Kind of a crazy choice given the heat but these jeans are just so good!  I was sent a pair of Jen7 jeans to sample for review and once on, I never took them off.  After this photoshoot, I just kept on wearing them until after our evening event!

Jen7 jeans are the brainchild of the denim experts and innovators at 7 For All Mankind.

About Jen7:
“This new and unprecedented line of premium denim is created for the woman who has been searching for an undeniably stylish jean with the perfect fit that is flattering and fits seamlessly into her demanding lifestyle. Jen7 is confident, cultured and classic. She has lived life and knows what she needs; once she finds it, she is a fan for life.

Each pair of Jen7 jeans is designed to be instantly flattering and crafted to provide a flawless foundation. The distinguishing factor for Jen7 jeans is seen and felt in the fit of the top block. From bootcut to skinny, each pair has the same measurements from waist to hip. This consistent feature has been perfected to ensure a sleek, slimming effect with ultimate comfort, while simultaneously eliminating a gap in the waistband. The top block has been meticulously designed, engineered and tested to create that ideal fit that every modern woman needs.”

Jen7 is a grown-up woman’s jean. Sophisticated and stylish, yet totally easy to wear! They have just the right amount of stretch to make them super comfortable. They fit beautifully and hug the way a good jean should. I like the mid-rise waist because it means I can bend and sit without my booty hanging out. My body is not the same as it was in my 20’s when I could wear low-rise jeans. Now I want more coverage and a slimming silhouette.

The placement and simplicity of the back pockets are universally complimentary to any tushy size. If you are trying to minimize your bottom, definitely go with a style like this.

I am wearing the slim straight leg cut in “Clean Rinse Wash”. Jen7 is also available in skinny and slim bootcut. Other wash options include Italian Ponte, Overdye Black, Leather-like Ponte (*on my wish-list!) and Brush Sateen (available in 4 fall colors)

I also wore a Trf Denim Rules tunic from ThredUp, Jeffrey Campbell Callista Kitten Heels,  Love tri rings from JustFab, Pearl and Crystal Earrings and Modern Art Deco bracelet from Chloe + Isabel.

I’m excited about the Jen7 jeans! It’s time for women to stop shopping the junior department for jeans and buy jeans made to fit a woman’s body! I’ll be spreading the word about Jen7 to everyone I know!   They retail from $175 – $215.  Don’t be scared off by the price. Premium jeans that fit your body well are priceless! If you are like most women, you’ve purchased several pairs of less expensive jeans only to be unsatisfied with fit and style.   Stop wasting your money and buy quality. They will last and last and last for years to come!

  1. First of all, I’d love to say, you’re absolutely beautiful in your jeans. 🙂 Also, I wanted to comment on how amazing it will be for you to have both your children in school this year. I’ve homeschooled for a long time, and decided this year to send my two oldest to school. It is exciting! Enjoy your days 🙂
