New mom, Ashley Simpson, has once again changed her hair color to blond. If you recall she was a dark red while pregnant with baby Bronx. She’s returned to a pretty blond with nice highlights around her face.
Ashley has been every shade of hair and I really think she looks stunning in all colors! I think the darker colors bring out her eyes. The light colors are soft and feminine. Which do you like best?
If you have a dark shade and want to go light, you’ll need to go to a professional for help. This kind of drastic color change should not be done at home. Likely, the stylist will strip your hair of color then apply new color. A professional knows best how to cancel out tones of red, brassy, purple or green.
One time, just days before my college graduation, I mixed two shades of at-home color and it turned my hair a nasty tint of green. I had my hair stripped and redone, ending my time with at-home hair color….until I tried it again years later and ended up with very dark brown with reddish tint. I’ve sworn off DIY haircolor!

I miss her black hair – the other colors look cute on her, but I’m not feeling this half-and-half blonde business.
And I really like her in dark red. She pulls it off so beautifully!
I kind of like the dark red look but I never disliked her as a blonde. Either color makes her look fantastic.
@diana: She is just like my gorgeous step-daughter- looks great in any color.
notice how tan she looks with blonde hair, but how pale she looks with red…
I really want the red she has in the photo.
