makeup meltdown

Do you ever feel like your freshly applied face is melting off within the first hour of getting your day started?  So many of us deal with intense heat, high humidity or both during July and August.  It’s not fun but it is reality.

I asked Loren Ridinger of Motives by Loren Ridinger, a cosmetic company which consist of revolutionary cutting-edge products, what to do to prevent Makeup Meltdown.  Her suggestion?  Primer!

“A good face primer is my secret sun weapon. I use Motives® Perfecting Face Primer. It not only allows my foundation to glide on smoothly; it also creates a “sticky” canvas for the foundation, making my skin virtually sun and sweat proof.”

Primers are used to keep your makeup on longer. They pamper the skin and create a protective barrier. Primers are especially great for people with combination to oily skin.

Apply after moisturizing and let it sink into the skin for a few minutes before applying your other makeup.

I haven’t tried Motives personally but I do love Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer Light.

What is your favorite primer?
