American Women Dish on What They’d Do For Themselves if they Had An Extra Day in the Year
Sixty-five percent of American women confess to skimping on beauty: these
time crunched ladies spend 30 minutes or less on their beauty rituals each day. However, more than three in five women admit they wish they had an extra day in the year to spend on themselves, and one third declare they would spend more than 30 minutes on beauty or grooming rituals with this extra day.
Just in time for Leap Year, the findings from a recent survey commissioned by AVEENO® POSITIVELY AGELESS™ Lifting & Firming are released. The AVEENO® Extra Day study, conducted by Opinion Research Corporation, surveyed more than 1,000 American women about their views on aging, individual beauty, and what exactly they would do if they had an extra day in the year to do what they please. Here are some of the top results:
· AVEENO® found that 65% percent of American women confess to skimping on beauty, spending 30 minutes or less on their beauty rituals each day.
· However, more than 3 in 5 women admitted they wished they had an extra day in the year to spend on themselves, and 1/3 declared they would spend more than 30 minutes on beauty or grooming rituals with this extra day.
· But not surprisingly, moms were the group most likely to wish for an extra day in the year to spend on themselves, with a whopping 73% saying they would love an extra day.
· AVEENO® also found that if given an extra day in the year, nearly ½ of all women admitted they would indulge in extra sleep or pampering rituals in the comfort of their own home. This is good news because as you sleep, your skin cells actually renew themselves so skin is most receptive to renewal, so if you are using a night cream, such as the new Positively Ageless Lifting & Firming Night Cream, you are actually doing double duty!
So, what will you do with your “extra” day? How about enter to win free product? Leave a comment here telling me what you would do with an extra day. Would you spend it sleeping? Shopping? Catching up on laundry (I HOPE not!)? All those commenting are entered to win a free product from the AVEENO Positively Ageless Lifting & Firming line! Enter now! Contest ends March 5 at midnight PST.

I would read and take a long nap!
my skin sucks i need this
if it was a weekday i’d catch up on all the talk shows; Maury, Springer, Montel, Ellen.
I’d start some of the projects I’ve been wanting to and a long bath and read one of the books I’ve been wanting to read and well, I think I need more than one day
I would catch up on sleep!
I would spend the day at the beach by myself, just chillin.
Sleep late, stay in my jammies the entire day, listen to “my music” loudly, lay like a slug on the couch for a few hours watching chick flicks, and finish with a long bath and a good book.
Since I never have a day for me I would probably sleep in. Get up and get my hair done and my nails. Then I would have a nice lunch with my sister.
I would spend the day exercising, getting a manicure and pedicure, then go shopping (if someone footed the bill for my extravagance)!
sleep
I’d love to sleep all day!
I would sleep until noon, wake up and eat a hearty brunch. Go to the park with my kids. Take a long bath!
SLEEP!
I would start knocking that long list of things off my to do list
I would go to a spa for a massage.
Relax and read!
I think that I would catch up on my reading.
I would spend it with the DH.
Find a sunny beach and just relax especially after this long winter!
Sleep late and then spend the day at the library. Bring my book finds home and relax and read in a bubble bath.
I would sleep!
Sleep,sleep,sleep.All day long.
I’d do an intensive spring cleaning and donate some items to charity.
I feel like a new person every time I sort, cull, winnow, toss and streamline my possessions.
I’d do some of those little tasks that keep getting put off: organizing photos into albums, decorating those few empty spaces on the walls, etc. Then I’d take the time to make a really nice dinner, from scratch, which doesn’t seem to happen often. I’d finish the day snuggling with hubby and the kids.
No question…..I would spend the day at the spa!!
Would spend it with the niece and nephew playing, going to the zoo, eating too much ice cream!!!!!
I would most definitely sleep.
I could always do housework.
Sweet
Maybe work outside if I felt like it. I like to work in the yard.
Scrape the brown goo from my garbage container, throw out all of the lotions and potions on my dresser that are 15.5 years old or older, develop the 75 film containers from my 35mm camera (dating back to 1990), buy a new bra, pick the hard, crusty vegatable fossils from the fridge crisper drawer, and serve my kids snail for dinner…
R & R
reading a good book
Have a day to myself, sleep in, shop, watch what I want on TV.
With an extra day on the calendar, I would spend it completing my bedroom remodel…I just can’t seem to find the time to get it done all at once, so it’s been a slow and gradual process
Thanks for the giveaway!
with an extra day I would turn back time and
tell my husband I loved him and gave him a hug and a kiss…he passed away 9/19/07
Eat at a fancy restaurant.
If I were being selfish, I’d schedule a massage and pedi, but realistically, I’d use the day to get caught up on laundry and housework.
An extra day, what to do with it. Just the ordinary things I do every day.
i would spend one more day with my family because you never know when that one more day will be your last with someone you love
Most likely I’d clean. If I could spend the day on myself I’d spend the day book shopping, having coffee, and browsing the clearance racks before going home and enjoying my favorite chocolate bar in a big bubble bath with a good book.
spend time with my family
If I had an extra day, I’d just waste it by sleeping the day away!
Since this is a fantasy, then I would spend it with past loved ones.
absolutely nothing, just kick back and relax
Take in a good movie or two!
I’d sleep later than normal, take a luxurious bath, eat a healthy breakfast, and then go for a nice long bike ride. When I got back from my bike ride, I’d relax with some wine and my knitting!
I would spend the day with my daughter and mother! We would meet for lunch at the restaurant of choice, then we could each choose an activity (like shopping at a certain store or see a movie) and we would all go to the chosen places together. We might plan in advence for a day a the spa toether. Thanks for giving us the chance to win.
i would sleep…
I would blog, write, go for a run, spend time with my wife and little girl.
