An Extra Day! What Will You Do?

American Women Dish on What They’d Do For Themselves if they Had An Extra Day in the Year

Sixty-five percent of American women confess to skimping on beauty: theseAVEENO® POSITIVELY AGELESS™ Lifting & Firming time crunched ladies spend 30 minutes or less on their beauty rituals each day. However, more than three in five women admit they wish they had an extra day in the year to spend on themselves, and one third declare they would spend more than 30 minutes on beauty or grooming rituals with this extra day.

Just in time for Leap Year, the findings from a recent survey commissioned by AVEENO® POSITIVELY AGELESS™ Lifting & Firming are released. The AVEENO® Extra Day study, conducted by Opinion Research Corporation, surveyed more than 1,000 American women about their views on aging, individual beauty, and what exactly they would do if they had an extra day in the year to do what they please. Here are some of the top results:

· AVEENO® found that 65% percent of American women confess to skimping on beauty, spending 30 minutes or less on their beauty rituals each day.

· However, more than 3 in 5 women admitted they wished they had an extra day in the year to spend on themselves, and 1/3 declared they would spend more than 30 minutes on beauty or grooming rituals with this extra day.

· But not surprisingly, moms were the group most likely to wish for an extra day in the year to spend on themselves, with a whopping 73% saying they would love an extra day.

· AVEENO® also found that if given an extra day in the year, nearly ½ of all women admitted they would indulge in extra sleep or pampering rituals in the comfort of their own home. This is good news because as you sleep, your skin cells actually renew themselves so skin is most receptive to renewal, so if you are using a night cream, such as the new Positively Ageless Lifting & Firming Night Cream, you are actually doing double duty!

So, what will you do with your “extra” day? How about enter to win free product? Leave a comment here telling me what you would do with an extra day. Would you spend it sleeping? Shopping? Catching up on laundry (I HOPE not!)? All those commenting are entered to win a free product from the AVEENO Positively Ageless Lifting & Firming line! Enter now! Contest ends March 5 at midnight PST.

Hello, I would take the time to pamper myself physically and mentally. I tend to be the type of mom that takes care of everyone but herself! I am getting to the age where it shows! A walk in the park would start my day. A great haircut, and pedicure would be nice. A quiet healthy meal, for me that would mean a large Greek salad! I would begin a new book that I have been wanting to read. I would end my “special” day with a hot, scented bubble bath in candlelight! Thanks for an amazing giveaway contest! Cindi :)

I would (hands down) use the carpet cleaner I got for Chirstmas. I am happy to report it is now out of the box. It only ventured this far due to the need for its box. Basically I made the poor thing homeless and it is still not put together. I would banish the kids and husband for a day to ensure drying. I would sit in the middle of my beautiful, clean, cream-colored, burber carpet and would admire the lines streaming from the wet nape of the carpet published like a printer from the steamer. While waiting for the carpet to dry I would do my nails. Yes red nail polish on cream colored carpet. Why? I have a really nice cleaner that will take care of that immediately! I would then summons my husband back to pick me up for a marvelous dream date! We would return to a spotless house and two beautiful boys sleeping on the carpet (because it is that clean) with an amazing sitter carefully watching over!

I would put on something nice, other than the usual sweats and sneakers. Get my hair, nails and feet done. Enjoy my day feeling and looking good (and realizing that I still have IT!) And lastly, eat at my favorite restaurant!
