I used to race bicycles in college. I’ve done a couple tri-athlons (swim/bike/run) and several du-athlons (bike/run) in my pre-children days. As many of you know, having kids can change your priorities, hobbies and lifestyle. As for me, I gave up cycling and competing completely. My husband did too, for awhile, but in 2009 started training again and has done several triathlons and long distance events in the last year.
I have been encouraged watching him get fit and loving his time doing it. I am hitting the roads again with a brand new Cannondale that my sweet hubby purchased for me this week. I, of course, had to get black and red to match A Mom in Red High Heels! I am still searching for red riding shoes to complete my ensemble (if you see any online, please let me know!). I forsee a riding jersey with the logo and some great beauty sponsors in the future. If you are a cyclist, stay tuned!
