How To Apply Three Shades Of Eyeshadow

Use this method of applying three shades of eye shadow for natural looking eyes. Once you have mastered applying three shades of eye shadow, you can then apply it to any colour you like.

Step 1:
You will need

* liquid foundation
* an eye shadow brush
* powder eye shadow in a pale, medium and dark shade
* mascara

Step 2:
Base
Apply a small amount of liquid foundation to both eyelids using your finger. This provides a base that reveals the eye shadow’s true colour. It also gives the eye shadow something to cling onto and prevents it slipping.
Step 3:
Load the brush
Gently dab an eye shadow in the palest shade. Tap off any excess.
Step 4:
Pale
Sweep the brush lightly over the area from the socket line of your eyelid to just below the eyebrow.
Step 5:
Medium
Add the medium shade. Load the brush as before and tap off the excess. Apply the eye shadow over both eyelids and into the socket line, blending with the brush.
Step 6:
Dark
Finally, add the darkest shade. Apply at the outer corners of the eyes above the upper lash line and into the socket line. Then carefully dust a little along the lower lash lines at the outer corners to create a V shape.
Wear with a little mascara.
