spring beauty essentials

Spring is all about renewal. Fashion and beauty choices should reflect the mood of the season so, after months of layering and boots, I am excited to wear flirty fashion and indulge in the newest color trends.Along with a few great wardrobe pieces, some new beauty products are in order to kick off spring with style! This season, I’m adding a few essentials that will give me glowing skin and fresh color. The goal is to keep your mood and look light and fresh this Spring! To achieve this, I’ve chosen 7 products to give my skin, smile, face and body the rejuvenation it needs after a long winter!

Top 7 Spring Beauty Essentials:spring_beauty_essentials_kit

Dove Advanced Care with NutriumMoisture Anti-Perspirant Deodorant: When the sleeves come off, we need to get serious about odor protection. While some deodorants can cause dry, itchy underarm skin, Dove’s new formula is created with NutriumMoisture to protect your skin while delivering 48-hour odor and wetness protection! Go ahead, strike a pose in your cute new sleeveless top!

Crest 3D White Whitestrips Luxe Supreme FlexFit : A bright, white smile is always in style but with spring makeup trends including look-at-me lipstick colors, you’ll want to make sure your pearly whites are really white! This 3D formula is worth the investment! These strips mold to my teeth (and stay put!) better than any whitening strip I have tried! I really appreciate the no-slip factor!

Pond’s Luminous Finish BB Cream with SPF 15: Glowy skin is the ultimate accessory! The formula is quick and easy to apply, gives luminous coverage and helps fade dark spots in 2 weeks! With the added protection of SPF 15, you can be sure your skin looks good today, and in the future!

Neutrogena Triple Moisture Professional Deep Recovery Hair Mask: Because my hair tends to be dry, I need a deep conditioner year round. With spring’s hot hairstyles being flirty braids and soft, bouncy curls, I need to make sure my hair is in it’s best condition!

Josie Maran Argan Lip & Cheek Color Stick Set: I am a huge fan of multi-taking products and getting the most value for my money. These cute little sticks are portable and easy to toss into my handbag. I love the gorgeous, fresh colors that I can apply to both cheeks and lips. The formula is light and not at all sticky. Just pure color to brighten my face! So fun!

NARS Orgasm Nail Polish: As a fan of NARS Orgasm blush and illuminator, I couldn’t wait to test out this nail polish! While several coats are required to really get noticeable color, the peachy-gold hue is gorgeous! The color will stand out better on those with darker toned skin.

DR. DENNIS GROSS SKINCARE Alpha Beta® Peel Original Formula: My number one beauty concern is my skin. To me, investing in great skin care treatments is worth the cost because with a beautiful canvas, you feel your most confident. After a long winter and dry conditions, my face is in need of some renewing! What better ingredients than Glycolic Acid and Retinol to help even skintone and brightening the complexion? The product comes in little packets, which are super handy for travel (one of my travel must-haves)! Take these with you on your spring break adventure!

Fashion Magazines: Not a month goes by that I don’t check my favorite fashion/beauty magazines but the beginning of the season is the best time to check in on what’s coming into stores and streets near you. Do remember, just because it’s a trend, doesn’t mean you have to wear it but if you love it, magazines are a great place to be inspired!

The total cost of these products cost $145.46 without the magazines.

Here’s what I do to save money when shopping for beauty supplies:

  • Make a list- when I know exactly what I want, I don’t spend on other things.
  • Shop around- I compare online prices.
  • Sign-up for website emails and follow on Facebook.  Most large companies offer discounts frequently and I don’t want to miss out!
  • Follow my favorite beauty bloggers since they often share sales.
  • Clip coupons.  I rarely clip coupons for grocery items but when I am buying beauty, I keep a watchful eye on Sunday’s ads!
  • Join rewards programs at favorite stores. Points add up to free goodies!
  • Check RetailMeNot before purchasing! They offer coupon codes, printable coupons, free shipping alerts and more.  Why pay full retail when you can get a discount, right?!

All the products I shared here were purchased at Sephora, Ulta, Walgreens and Target.  Before you head out to get your own Spring Beauty Essentials Kit, click over to RetailMeNot to snag your own discounts!  Just click the store name and the link will take you to RetailMeNot savings.
