I’m not going to lie… looking at my reflection is getting hard to face.  Aging is my biggest skin care concern!  I see the wrinkles from way too much sun as a youth. I see the discoloration of way too much sun as a youth. Makes me wish I could take back the attempts at golden tans (which I never really achieved), eat better, exercise more and sleep more. Fortunately, I can do some age reversing and it’s time to to get started! It’s never too late to do something positive for yourself! Are you with me?

The first thing we all have to remember is that when undoing a lifetime of damage, we need to take it one day at a time, a few minutes each day. Diligence is essential.

  1. Use strong sunscreen– choose products with SPF. Many skin care and cosmetic products on the market today contain SPF.  Look for products with at least SPF 15.  Meaningful Beauty offers a great Antioxidant Day Crème SPF 20 UVA/UVB.  The product also works to brighten and even skin tone.
  2. As your skin ages, it loses it’s ability to regenerate new skin cells as quickly or effectively, leaving skin dull and sallow. Give your skin some much needed help with Meaningful Beauty Glowing Serum. This product encourages cell renewal to help restore skin’s vitality and brightness.
  3. Rehydrate!  Drink enough water to replenish the moisture lost by the skin.  Use water to cool skin by spritzing it several times a day.  Finally, sleep with a humidifier in your room to keep the air moist. This is especially important in the winter months when the air is dry due to weather and indoor heating.
  4. Use an eye cream. This is so important! Don’t let your face moisturizer be your eye cream. Some products are just not meant to be multi-tasking!  Meaningful Beauty Lifting Eye Cream feels truly amazing. It leaves my skin so soft and hydrated! It also improves the appearance of puffiness, darks circles and crow’s feet which can make you look old.

  1. Hmmm….I don’t pay to much attention to my skin other than to put sunscreen on every morning after my shower. I would say as I round the corner to 40 my biggest problem is one day my skin is dry and then next week it’s oily. So I try to use all natural soaps and lotions. And yes drinking LOTS of water. 🙂
