1. What were you doing ten years ago?
Ten years ago I was teaching Elementary Physical Education in an inner city district. I was in my third year of teaching and starting to lose the “I can change the world” ideal. That was a really sad time for me to realize I had worked all those years to get my degree to discover that teaching was not my career of choice after all. The experience does really make me appreciate a good teacher that holds on to the passion of making a difference in his/her student’s lives. They are so underpaid and so over worked, God Bless them!
I was also jumping out of an airplane ten years ago! I went on my first (and only to date) sky diving adventure. I still love to watch the video of the event. It was such an amazing experience!
2. What are five things on your to-do list today?
Shop for Father’s Day presents, wrap the presents, do some laundry, enjoy the Saturday with my kids, get my daughter down for a nap. So far, four of the five have been accomplished while my hubby is away at the US Open in Torrey Pines watching Tiger Woods and all the other golf greats!
3. Snacks you enjoy?
Chocolate covered gummy bears, ice cream, cashews, chips and salsa…yeah, I know, I’m super healthy!
4. Places you’ve lived:
Holland, MI, Amado, AZ, Redlands, CA
5. What are 5 things you would do if you were a billionaire?
- Move into a house with a huge backyard and a tree house for my kids (and hire a maintance crew to maintain the yard!)
- Take my family to Scotland to find the Loch Ness Monster (my son’s dream!)
- Fly around the world to shop all the best cities
- Buy my hubby the guitar of his dreams and lessons with The Edge (David Howell Evans) from U2.
- Visit our sponsored child, Tang, in Africa and shower he and his family with essentials. When he was old enough, I’d sponsor him to go to college wherever he chose.
6. People you want to know more about?
Heidi Klum, Gwen Stefani, Gwyneth Paltrow- all super sexy, beautiful, talented and classy moms!
7. What are five makeup and/or skincare products you’ve been using regularly and are really into at the moment?

I was a teacher for a few years, too, but have found that leaving the classroom enabled me to find balance in my life. I’m still out to help change the world, but in a much different capacity. And, now that I’m a mom, I have a whole new respect for teachers that I didn’t even have when I WAS one. You are right - God bless them!
