    Profound Beauty, Indeed

    By Tammy | June 4, 2008

You know what they say, the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence. For me, that means I like my naturally curly hair to be straight. Most days it ends up that way but sometimes the curl is too tough to tame and I end up with a wavy back and straight sides.

My hair is not completely curly. If it were, I wouldn’t fight it as much. The entire head has lovely curl that has been described by a stylist as the “perfect spiral curl”. Problem is, the top layer of my hair is absolutely stick straight! So, if I choose to go curly, as I will now and then, it still involves time with the curling iron!

In the past, I’ve used a variety of “curl enhancing” products to see if I could get away with the “wash and go” look. I’ve never succeeded with that look but figure it’s worth trying products just incase I come across one that works.

Profound Beauty has a great line of curl products out. The one that’s working for me is the Curl Serum. It leaves my hair soft, not crunchy, and the curls have a lot of volume! I still can’t do the wash and go but I have a lot less styling time!

This is my hair freshly washed, half dry. I have applied the Profound Beauty Stylist Curl Serum. Note the difference in even the wet hair how the top is straight but the underside is so curly!

This is my hair after it is dry. The only curling I did was on the top layer. I use a spiral curling iron when I go curly. The style lasts for 2 days. The first day is down and full. The second is usually half up since the straight hair on top is losing it’s curl.

This is typically how I wear my hair (though I never do it as well myself!) This is Lorenzo from Warren Tricomi. He’s a doll! He gave my hair a touch-up midday on the Total Beauty Beauty Tour last month. Can you believe I actually had an appointment scheduled with him for a cut and style but had to cancel due to scheduling? One day I will get back up to LA for a full salon experience. Laurie tells me it’s such a treat!

Back to the product…Check out the Profound Beauty Stylist line for curls. I hear Stephanie entered this week’s contest specifically for the Stylist Curl Foam! You should enter too and if you have curly hair, give this line a try!

I never knew that you had curly hair! It looks absolutely gorgeous that way in the photos! You should let your “curly girl” shine through every once in awhile. :)

Thanks for the in-depth review of the product. Now I want it more than ever!
