    Looking Hot in Yellow!

    By Tammy | January 25, 2008

While leaving the restaurant at lunch today I spotted on hot mama in yellow. As quickly as I could I scanned her outfit then proceeded to chase after my daughter who had made her way to the door. Once outside, I took one more peak through the window to gather more details.

I really wanted to share this outfit with you! I have been uninspired lately and not posting for the As Seen on the Playground series. I really want to share real outfits on real moms for this series. Maybe it’s the cold, rainy weather but I can share jeans, black boots and black jackets only so many times with you! So as you can imagine, I was thrilled to find one outfit, full of fun, worthy of sharing!

The first piece of the outfit that caught my eye was the coat. It was a great textured wool coat in a beautiful mustard yellow. It really looked great with her blond hair! I didn’t catch what shirt she had on since I was coming from behind her but any dark or white solid would look great. You’ll want to keep the shirt’s color and texture simple since the jacket color is vibrant and also has texture.

    Mustard textured coat- John Rocha

I was not able to find a textured trench in the right mustard yellow so above you’ll see a mustard trench available at Victoria’s Secret. You should check out the great button detail on the back of the coat! On Sale $148 The small image is a coat in the right color and texture but not length! It is sold out except size 14 but you should click over to see the great texture of this coat. Sometimes, the fabric texture is the feature that makes a piece special!

The second part of the outfit I took notice of was the shoes!

    Burberry Lace-up

There was no mistaking the famous Burberry check (plus the rubber logo on the back of the heel gave me a huge hint as to make and model ! :) ). The retail on these sneakers? $295! I did enjoy “screen shopping” on Burberry.com. I really like the House Check PumpConverse Chuck Taylor® Print Sneaker and Slingback Ballerina, both in the classic Burberry check!

For a less expensive option, try Converse. $46.95

For the rest of the outfit, she wore straight leg blue jeans and gold hoop earrings.

A great outfit generally has a key piece or two- the rest of it can be simple. Overdoing it with textures, patterns and too many accessories will ruin any outfit so take care to think the entire look through!
