    Another Swanky Mom in Jeans

    By Tammy | January 3, 2008

Readers, you voted to have more “As Seen on the Playground“, the feature that showcases outfits worn by real moms out on the playground of life while with their kids.

I saw a great outfit yesterday worn by a very swanky mom while shopping with your elementary aged daughter. Yes, jeans were involved! They fit her great which helped her look modern, not frumpy! The purse was the piece that pulled the outfit into the next level of style. Don’t forget that your purse says tons about you personally. If it is stained, worn or the bag you’ve carried for years it is time to switch out to a newer, cleaner style!

    Here is what she wore:

Red Engine - Midrise Bootcut - Midnight Vintage Bootcut and Midrise jeans…very MOM appropriate!

    apt. 9® Black Blazer

apt. 9® Black Blazer- With 3/4-length sleeves. I’ll admit, I’m not a huge fan of 3/4 sleeve sweaters and jackets simply because if it’s cold enough to wear it, then I know my arms will be cold. You can layer over a long sleeve but you really need to get the right shirt so the 3/4 sleeve doesn’t just look “too short”. However, on a cool California afternoon, the jacket was perfect on this Mom!

Loeffler Randall Cinch Flats - Black Patent

Loeffler Randall Cinch Flats - Chic Patent flats with pleated style.

    Shiraleah Jennifer Tote

Shiraleah Jennifer Tote- This bag offers a great ‘pop’ of color to the outfit. It is a structured shape, which makes getting in and out of it easy. This bag offers two interior compartment divided by a zipper compartment. Lots of space for your cosmetics, organizer and crayons for the kids! BTW, GREEN is the color for spring! A great bag in green, like this one, is an easy way to incorporate the color into your wardrobe without having to commit to wearing the color all day long!

I didn’t get a look at the top under the jacket but you could wear a cami or fitted tee (maybe one with a cool graphic or burnout pattern!) with the blazer to dress it down for errands with the kids.

I bet you have several pieces that are similar to these already in your closet so, go try and recreate this look!

It`s really a good mommy-style! I love the light green bag, because it´s so fresh, so spring-style an offers enough space for everything you need!
