Keeping Your Jeans Tucked In
By Tammy | December 31, 2007
Winter brings boots. Boots are chic and classic. You’ll spot them every winter. The problem is, how do you keep your jeans tucked in so they don’t gather around your knees? I’ve compiled a list of solutions to try. All options work best with a straight-leg jean as there is less fabric to manage.
- Do the 80’s tuck and roll…fold the hem of your jean’s leg over tightly and then roll up tightly from the bottom.
- Fold the fabric over and safety pinned the excess.
- Fold the fabric over and wrap a rubber band around the hem.
- Wear skinny jeans…but ONLY if you have the body for it!
- Wear elastic jodhpur straps worn by equestrians. ($3.90)
- Re-purpose your belly-ups from pregnancy…they tend to run a bit short so you’ll need to use them with your longest jeans.
- Wear knee socks and tuck your jeans into them before slipping on the boots.
- Buy BOB Calf Sock Jeans-no baggy knees, no broken zippers
Take our poll to find out if Moms tuck or not.
