Day 2, Tip 2 for my Glamour Makeover: Groom Your Brows
Follow these steps for the perfectly shaped brow:
- Go for a natural but cared-for line, which is easiest to maintain. Brows should begin directly above the inner corner of your eye and go about a quarter-inch past the point directly above the outer corner. The peak should be aligned with your pupil. Pluck strays that fall above or below this curve, one at a time, with slant-edge tweezers.
- Use a small, round brow brush (not a brow detangler, which looks like a mini comb) to sweep hairs upward. Trim the tips off any hairs that seem noticeably longer with small scissors–the type used for moustaches or toenails is best. “Don’t go crazy cutting–this isn’t like trimming your bangs, where you diminish the overall length. Just go after the really overgrown strands.
- Use a brow pencil or brow powder one shade lighter than your brows to touch up sparse spots. Do short, feathery strokes, working in the direction your hair grows.

Tools for Great Brows:
Sharp tweezers to pluck the strays. I love the Tweezerman tweezers. They work really well and you can get them sharpened for free by sending them back to Tweezerman (you’ll need to buy two pair to alternate while the other is being sharpened)
Grooming Tools to trim longer hairs
Brow powder -If your brows are light or over-plucked, filling them in will add a more structured look to your face. Brows are like the picture frame for your eyes. You will look more polished and awake with your brows done.

Is it hard for you to find time to groom your brows? I do mine while my kids are in the bath. It’s productive “mirror time” while they play! Or, do as a mom from my son’s school does…arrive early for great parking and groom in your car while you wait for school to get out! It’s a great use of time!

My goal is to find the perfect shade of brow powder. I currently use an eye shadow but am told that brow shadow has more texture and blends better with the brow hair. Sephora, here I come!

I did this today! Yay eyebrows! I also like how the site recommended using a dab of moisturizer on the eyebrows to smooth them out… sometimes even when my eyebrows are plucked and trimmed, I still get flyaway hairs… putting the moisturizer on them smoothed all the hairs out and made them look much nicer!

A dab of hair gel works too!
