    Meet Artist Elizabeth Bonura

    By Tammy | October 30, 2007

    Elizabeth BonuraYour Name: Elizabeth Bonura

How many Children Do You Have: 1 (Son CJ pictured at right with Elizabeth)

Your Business Name: Wedding Sculptures and Elizabeth Bonura

    Brief Description of Your Business:
I create custom sculptures based off of photographs. As with most artists, life inspires what I create. Most of my sculptures are created for weddings to be used as cake toppers but since I became a mother I now create portrait sculptures of children. What better way to celebrate a special moment or milestone than to capture it in clay!

Do you work from home or do you go to an office?
I work from home. I have a huge studio (500sqft) that I share with my son. He paints or plays with Play-Doh while I sculpt!

Do you get yourself ready everyday or do you find yourself hanging out in jammies for a large portion of the day?
I get ready everyday - even if that means a t-shirt, capris and a really cute apron!

What is your favorite beauty tip?
I love the all-in-one cream foundation and powder make-up. It’s super fast to put on and it has great coverage in one step!

What did your mother teach you about beauty and fashion?
Don’t worry about the size on the tag, just make sure the clothes fit properly.JPatPurses

What is your favorite outfit in your closet and why?
Right now, I love wearing my capris and this green baby doll shirt because the shirt fits well and matches this really cute purse I love to carry.

What motivates you to look your best?
I have noticed that I actually feel better, more energetic and creative, when I look good.

Any time saving beauty tips to share?
If you are going to throw your hair into a quick ponytail, use a cute hair pony or hair stick to dress it up a little. That will make your ponytail look intentional and not like a last minute decision.

Name one product you can’t live without:
John Frieda luminous Color GLAZE because I don’t like dying my hair but I’ve got to keep the grays covered!

    Heels or flats?
Flats or a great pair of wedges

    Lip gloss or Lip Stick?
    Gloss

Any additional comments on beauty and style you’d like to share:
Just remember that taking 5 minutes to add a little make-up can change how you look and feel about yourself during the day…

Editor’s note: Great tips Elizabeth! What she says about taking 5 minutes a day for yourself is so true! Thanks for the reminder Elizabeth!

Elizabeth, I love your tip about not worrying about the size on the tag. Fit is so much more important than what the tag says. My husband always tells me to just cut the tag out if the size makes me squeamish.
