Hands-Free in Style
By Tammy | October 22, 2007
When you become a mom, you take on a whole new set of problems that need to be addressed, including how to gain an extra set of hands so you can have your hands free. Thankfully some great designers have already resolved this issue for us.![]()
Where to put your keys while at the park with your kids: I’ve been searching for a stylish solution for this problem for quite sometime. I set my keys on a bench and hope that a child doesn’t come by and starts clicking the alarm buttons. It’s very distracting to keep an eye on them. Sometimes I’ll stuff the alarm in my pocket and the keys hang out. Also distracting… I don’t want to drop them in the pit of bark that covers the playground, never to be found again! This lanyard is a great solution: stylish, practical and light weight.
Where to put your credit cards and ID when you don’t want to dig to find
them at the bottom of the stroller: This little hip purse is the perfect solution that keeps your hands free, cards close and saves you time because you don’t have to dig for your wallet in the stroller, purse or diaper bag. Available in leather or nylon and in multiple colors (including animal prints!), this is definitely Mommy’s little helper on shopping adventures, amusement parks, airplanes and even nights out with your girlfriends!
Where to put a diaper and wipes case for a quick trip that doesn’t require the fully loaded diaper bag: A diaper clutch is what you need! Available in many sizes and shapes, a clutch will give you just enough room for a diaper or two and some wipes. Most are also a changing pad! You’ll be able to toss the clutch into your own handbag or the bottom of the stroller.
How to carry your baby, hold your toddler’s hand and carry a bag or two: Put the baby into a fabulous baby carrier! Baby Carriers are available in pouch slings, wraps, ring slings, front packs and mei tei carriers. Baby carriers are wonderful products that aid in bonding of parent and child plus allow mom two hands to get things done while baby is perfectly content!
