Getting back into the routine of school is challenging for both mom and kids! Fall is always an exciting and transitional time for families with young children. There’s back-to-school shopping, those countless early mornings, chauffeuring the kiddies to and from school, soccer practice, PTA meetings — you get the idea. Needless to say, back-to-school time cuts out on the ever-important “me” time. Trust me, I know. But as a Super-Mom of seventeen years, I’ve picked up a few fabulous tricks along the way. I present to you: my 10-Minute Motives Morning Concoction — a beauty routine so easy and quick, you’ll be trading in your oversized sunglasses and baseball caps for a fresh face, sans the raccoon eyes!
Ingredients: Motives® Correction Perfection Concealer, Motives® Full Coverage Photo Finish Powder, Motives® Blush Bronzer Duo, Motives® Waterproof Eye Pencil, Motives® Lustrafy Mascara, Motives® Pucker Up Lip Plumper, a concealer brush, blush/bronzer brushes, an eyelash curler, q-tips, and a large powder puff.
The Recipe:
1. After washing and moisturizing your face, dab a bit of concealer onto problem areas and blemishes. Blend well with your concealer brush to avoid caking.
2. When I don’t have time for foundation, I use Motives® Full Coverage Photo Finish Powder. It gives my skin a natural looking matte finish that lasts all day. Apply with a large powder puff, using a firm pressing motion, then layer to achieve desired coverage.
3. The Motives® Blush Bronzer Duo is a space-saving, multitasking wonder for my cosmetic bag. Highlight cheekbones, the bridge of your nose, and your forehead with the bronzer, and fake a rosy glow with the blush — it’s an instant lift for tired skin!
4. Lightly line eyes with Motives® Waterproof Eye Pencil, and smudge with a q-tip for natural looking definition that won’t budge — rain or shine.
5. No matter how pressed for time you are, never leave home without curling your lashes and applying a coat of Lustrafy mascara to look instantly awake. To avoid that funny lash crease, make sure you start curling at the base of the lash, and then curl it about three times, moving up the lash.
6. Glide on some clear lip gloss for a little bit of shine. Motives® Pucker Up Lip Plumper makes lips look fuller instantly, cutting out the need for those time-consuming liners and lipsticks.
And there you have it, Super Moms! A guilt-free reason to hit the “snooze” button on your alarm clock a few extra times this back-to-school season! Take it from me; nobody will know the difference. It can be our little secret!

Loren – I promise to try your “10 minute concoction” instead of the baseball caps this year! Although they do help with the bedhead! The Photo Finish Powder is such a great idea and can cover as much or as little as you need. I use it frequently on weekends when I don’t want to wear foundation. Now…if you can just help me break away from the morning, school mom, sweatsuit “uniform,” I’ll be set! Thanks for the great ideas.

Just a quick note to say how happy I am with the Motives line of cosmetics.
I bought the product line in July to wear on my television show – - Maria showed me how to apply the products, so my skin always looks good on air.
I also wear the product line in my daily life ( I just apply it differently). I receive a lot of compliments on my fresh skin. I especially like how the make-up feels- – - or rather, how it doesn’t feel – - – I do not get that creepy-crawly feeling on my skin at the end of the day.
In fact, a couple of weeks ago after applying my make-up for the day, I got news of my aunt’s death. I left home at 11:00am and did not return for more than 24 hours. I was astonished when I get home early afternoon the next day, and looked in the mirror. My skin looked fine. Again, I don’t recommend not washing your face, but it’s nice to know the make-up has staying power.
